Two police sergeants are facing charges for allegedly confronting a
group of men at gunpoint who are accused of stealing an iPhone belonging
to the daughter of one of the sergeant's.
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said Detroit
Police Sergeant David A. Pomeroy, 47, and St. Clair Shores Police
Sergeant Michael Notoriano, 42, will be arraigned Monday.
Worthy said Notoriano's daughter was robbed of her iPhone July 20 while at a gas station in the 14400 block of Kercheval.
Worthy said Pomeroy and Notoriano were off-duty the
following day when they used the "find my phone" app to locate the
iPhone on the city's east side.
The officers allegedly confronted a car containing three men in it and took a handgun and the iPhone from them.
Worthy said Pomeroy allegedly kept watch while Notoriano took $300 and a bag of marijuana from one of the men.
Notoriano

assault, ethnic intimidation, felony firearm, willful neglect of duty
and failure to uphold the law.
Pomeroy is charged
with armed robbery, unlawful imprisonment, larceny of a firearm, willful
