Modern liberalism is using the word to mean liberal
(free) application of government as opposed to an idea of individual
freedom. It’s like when sunscreen says on the bottle “apply liberally”.
Classic liberalism’s primary emphasis was placed on securing the
freedom of the individual by limiting the power of the government. The
philosophy emerged as a response to the Industrial Revolution and
urbanization in the 19th century in Europe and the United States.
Today’s liberalism is a disgusting ideology that was slowly brainwashed
into Americans en masse over the course of many years and it involves
the deluded belief that government control is the best way to solve
